StackTeck showcases advanced technologies

StackTeck Systems Ltd., a Brampton, ON manufacturer of high-productivity tooling solutions for the injection molding industry, will be showcasing several new and advanced technologies at the 2013 K Show.
In Hall 01, Stand D09, StackTeck’s booth, the company will feature a static display of a 2-cavity co-injection cup mold. The mold produces a lightweight, thin-wall cup with L/T ratio of 266, and includes barrier technology by Mold-Masters Ltd. StackTeck (www.stackteck.com) will also have a display of co-injection packaging solutions that include lightweight, thin-wall barrier cups and containers with barrier technology by Kortec.
The company will have a general display of plastic samples and mold components, along with a demonstration of a wide range of packaging applications produced on StackTech molds. Molding surface components will be on display for cap and container molds.
To see the action up close and personal, head over to the Engel Stand in Hall 15, Stand B42, where you can watch a demonstration of a 2 x 8-cavity thin-wall, 16 oz dairy container mold running under 4 seconds in an Engel e-speed 650-ton machine. The system includes a takeout robot by automation supplier Campetella, with the mold provided by StackTeck customer Airlite Plastics.
Also being demonstrated is a 4-cavity demonstration mold for a next-generation tamper-evident CSD cap mold at the Wave IMM booth, Hall13, Stand A49. The demonstration shows cycle time improvement of more than 1 second on a CSD 1881 cap with a part weight of 2.15g, designed by Universal Closures Limited.
